1. Nature of Bespoke Commission Engagements
A bespoke art commission is an intimate creative collaboration between the collector and artist Sethu Eyyal.
Submitting an initial commission brief does not constitute a binding purchase contract. A binding engagement is formed only upon mutual agreement on the written quotation and receipt of the agreed advance deposit.
2. The Commission Workflow & Milestones
Stage 1: Brief Intake & Artistic Evaluation (Review of concept, dimensions, and reference photos).
Stage 2: Quotation & Timeline Agreement (Formal quote and estimated completion window issued).
Stage 3: Advance Deposit [BUSINESS DECISION REQUIRED: Standard advance percentage, e.g. 50% deposit].
Stage 4: Composition & Canvas Execution (Studio production by the artist).
Stage 5: Milestone Review & Collector Approval (High-resolution progress documentation presented).
Stage 6: Final Balance & White-Glove Crating/Delivery.
3. Revision Parameters & Artistic Discretion
Commissioned artworks are created within Sethu Eyyal's established visual style, brushwork, and emotional palette.
• Revisions: [BUSINESS DECISION REQUIRED: Specify revision scope, e.g. Up to 1 composition review round and 1 color adjustment round included; structural redesigns require renegotiated terms].
4. Reference Photo Confidentiality & Rights
Collectors retain full ownership of private reference photographs provided for portraiture or landscape commissions.
The artist will utilize reference photographs strictly for creating the commissioned artwork and will not share or display references publicly without separate written permission.
5. Intellectual Property in Commissioned Artworks
The collector receives physical ownership of the completed canvas upon full payment of the balance.
The artist retains all moral rights and copyright in the artwork, including reproduction and portfolio rights, unless otherwise agreed by express written contract.
